So, I just left a guild and the game was lagging and I could still promote people and talk in guild and alliance chat. However when I tried to promote someone, I got an error because I wasn't really in the guild. And when I tried to talk in chat... I got a very strange message. "Only Guild Leaders and officers may talk in Alliance chat". I know this is a feature that has been mentioned many times and I'm wondering... did this use to be a feature? Or did I find a feature soon to be put in place.

It used to be a feature for alliance but was since removed.

Uhh.....what do you mean "What did it do"? I for one thought the message "Only Guild Leaders and Officers can sen alliance chat" was pretty self explanatory....

Anyway, god knows why they thought that was a good idea...

didnt this happen months ago aswell? a big bug that was fixed.
I'd say its just a bug.

I disagree Eddie. I thought that it was a good idea. It allows you to invite new members without risking that they will start spamming profanities in your AC and get your guild kicked out of an alliance. Really, compared to other games, GW has a very simplified officer/membership permissions list.
But, whatever, it was removed.

This has been answered, it used to be how Alliance chat works, but they removed it.
